Ritzen Hand-Painted Ceramic Vase (8in/20cm)The 338 vase from the Ritzen series is a striking example of the sgraffito glaze scratching technique pioneered by Bollhagen in the 1930s. The unusual curved silhouette is set in a mould before being hand painted in a simple chequerboard pattern, then fired and hand glazed by artisans at the Marwitz workshop.
