Antique Scottish pebble agate brooch, 9ct gold, VictorianWe love this unusual antique, early Victorian era Scottish pebble agate brooch. It has a unique shape and design made up of smooth polished sections of various different agates, in a cross cross or diamond shaped design. The warm gold bezel frame encasing the agates perfectly, it has a barrette shape and fastens with a gold pin, it has varying agates from red jasper to Montrose with lovely rich tones. A particularly beautiful example, very versatile

It has a smooth 9ct gold band

It is marked to the inner band 9ct and Sil for 9ct gold and silver
the clasp featuring a plaited lock of light coloured hair under glazing

It is fully hallmarked to the outer rim for sterling silver
