1896 Coiled Snake RingExcellent antique snake ring dating from the late 19th century. The Victorians' fascination with snake was nothing new, our serpent friends have been variously adored, feared, and worshipped for millenia, but they did take the fascination to a relative extreme. This one coils thrice around the finger, built in 15ct gold with rubies for eyes and a silly cheeky grin. English hallmarks from the year 1896. Era: Late Victorian, 1896 Width at head: 15. 8mm
