This mine is actually the LARGEST Cassiterite deposit in the world but is best known for its phosphate species. There are truly about 5 localities in the world that produce fine crystallized Ludlamite specimens, and ALL of them, except for Huanuni and now defunct. This piece features several layered crystal groups of pleasing green Ludlamite with good luster, sharpness and translucency

The Eagle Mine was the center of lead and zinc mining in Colorado for a time and produced some of the state’s most memorable mineral specimens

but considering the great size

silvery “bent” crystal

and certainly hard to find on the market these days

The largest crystal on this specimen is one of the biggest Augelites that I have seen from Bolivia
