The black finish on the iron core is intact and excellent. The silver frame has toned to a dark gray color that complements the black of the cross. This is marked on the suspension ring with KO for the Royal Mint in Berlin. The long portion of ribbon has some issues, the white has lifted, giving the ribbon a spotty look. But this is original

We know the Close combat clasp is well marked on the reverse
