Stibnite

StibniteThis specimen comprises several highly lustrous, sharp, metallic silvery sword shaped crystals of Stibnite forming a very aesthetic crystal spray. Good shape overall, with only a little bit of roughness here and there. A great classic Bolivian Stibnite specimen. This piece came out in the early 1980s when there was a large find of some superb Stibnites from this mine. Specimen # BOL711B281

A beautiful crystallized “mound” of off-white color

Both of the Brookite crystals feature attractive black "phantoms" in their centers

The largest crystal on this specimen is one of the biggest Augelites that I have seen from Bolivia

as most Brookites are found lying flat on matrix

Porco is THE oldest and most significant Silver mine in Bolivia

Wires of this thickness and quality with such great visual appeal are few and far between from Porco

and to the best of my knowledge

“sword”-shaped crystal is one of the better quality single Vivianites that I’ve offered from this famous locality
