Antique Japanese Military Infantry Flags Star Army Sake CupThis is an antique Japanese military sake cup, decorated with a pair of flags, a star, and the words "43rd Infantry Regiment 5th Company Service Commemoration" Condition: Excellent light fading of the gold Size: 3. 75" across
The sailor's name Mizuochi is on the back
so that the cups formed a whole Japanese flag
The smaller flags include one for Manchukuo
The words are "Fleet Review Commemoration" "Showa 5th Year" "Hyogo Prefecture"
So this cup dates to that period when Japan set up a puppet state for the territories it controlled in China at the time
and the soldier's name Tanaka is on the exterior
The interior of the cup has the words "Victory Helmet" in the center and the four characters around it are
The words are "Excellence Award" "2nd Battalion Chief" and on the back a certain "Captain Kuninaka"
and the words "Loyalty and Bravery" embossed on the sides
and a helmet with a star on it
