Pair Vintage Army Corp Engineers Brass BookendsHand made brass and aluminum bookends of Captain's bars, 56th Engineer Company insignia. They are engraved, 56th Engineer Co. (CONS) Ft. Richardson Alaska, which is along the top edge of each. On the bottom between insignia is, Commanding, Charles C. Gwin, Captain CE. 8 Dec 58 31 May 61. There is red felt on back and bottom. These are very very heavy. Brass plates are 1 2" thick, engraving is very faint. Dimenstions are for one bookend 6. 0W 5. 0D 5.
