The orange we see in the tiger's coat does not appear as orange to much of its prey, found in the wilds of its homeland on the Asian continent, because deer, for example, are blind to red colors, and they see the tiger as green, allowing this largest of all cats to operate unobtrusively in the forest of green. No such hiding for the rare tiger with a white coat, however.
