Silk and StoneBlack Forest, Germany Some photographs begin as images in the mind before the camera is even raised. This one did. The silky texture of water in long exposure, the flow of the water against the deep green of the Black Forest in May; the way the rock and moss hold everything in frame. It was visualized before the shutter opened, and it came out exactly as imagined. Those moments are rare enough to remember.
