Dyckia 'Red Star'This plant is currently unavailable. We had never really thought too much about Dyckia previously. That was, ntil we visited the Melbourne Botanic Gardens where Dyckia 'Red Star' was used in both succulent gardens and amongst perennial plantings. Not only do they have striking foliage but the dusky orange flowers are impressive as well. Dyckias are xerographic and survive long periods without water by going dormant. These plants are tough, handling

The one disadvantage is that the flowering suffers in extreme extended summer heat
