'Gift for Hannah' inscribed bone lace bobbin. 19thc.A good 19th century mutton bone lace bobbin inscribed 'Gift for Hannah' and with an unusual birdcage beaded spangle. c1860. It is in good condition with clear lettering in red and black. 13. 5cm long NB. Lace bobbin making was a cottage industry using domestic animal bone and local soft woods never ivory. Stock no. LM32D

Dutch ones are usually marked with a tiny dagger to indicate silver

There is a lot of gold detailing on their clothes and also on the background detail

A small pair of silver handled scissors embossed with foliage and a matching silver sheath with flowers and foliage

In excellent condition-no damage and the spring is in perfect condition

In very good condition- the varnished finish is intact and the silk lining is clean showing little sign of use

The case is in excellent order too except for damage to one of the hooks that close it

The inner sleeve is stamped with a boar's head- a guarantee for silver
