The lid hinges back to reveal space for the packets and the maker's information is stamped on the base

The tape starts at number one and the silver is in excellent condition

There is a folding penknife as well which has been repaired several times over the years by splicing on a new blade-a thrifty previous owner

It dates to the mid 19th century circa 1850-1870

The pearl section is 3cm in diameter

The design is also found in mother of pearl

soldered repair near the opening where the action of extending the corkscrew has split the silver
