Four old tooth picks. c1780 and c1820.Two of the picks are bone and two are Georgian silver ones. Three incorporate ear spoons. The silver ones are unmarked but probably came out of 18th century necessaires and the two bone from early 19th century toothpick cases. In excellent condition. The longest silver one is 7. 5cm and the short bone 4. 5cm. Stock no. LQ24

The back is plain

The lid unscrews and the pierced section unscrews too

the back of the lid has a screw on silver disc which should cover a pad of leather or rubber which would act as a seal when the lid is screwed down-the original must have disintegrated

In excellent condition- no holes

Inside there is a bone handle and six different sized crochet hooks that fit into the universal handle

A marbled glass resembling polished gemstones in a wide range of colours first made by the Bohemian glass artist Friedrich Egermann in 1829 and was copied by other Bohemian and French manufacturers
