S.Lam - Cantonese Opera ParaphraseThis is a 5 minutes long composition for solo piano. It is based on a traditional theme " Meditation in Autumn by Dressing Table " used in the Cantonese Opera PRINCESS CHEUNG PING. Hong Kong born Australian composer Scott Lam used the piano to imitate the Chinese instrument Zheng and evoke the Cantonese musical idiom.
