Fig Tree ‘Italian 258'This cultivar is becoming well known among fig collectors in the US, and for good reason. The flavor is exceptional, with strong berry notes and lots of sweet nectar. The plant is vigorous and produces a purple skinned red interior fruit, of medium size. One slight drawback is that the fruit can sometimes split and become spoiled with heavy rainfall. Still, a worthy candidate for a fig grower in South Florida seeking high quality fruit.
