SOLD…….A fob watch stand on an alabaster base. French c1860A French decorative stand for a ladies fob watch made of gilded metal and mounted on a round base of alabaster. In excellent condition no damage and the gilding is bright. 11 cm high base diameter 6. 5 cm Stock no. JY12
The girl's features are well painted- professionally done I should say
A fine silver filigree book cover fitted with a silk needle book

Collapsed it measures 3
Inside it is lined in cream velvet and silk
The images are of King George 111 and Queen Charotte of Mecklenburg-Strelitz who were married in 1761
It is also initialed on one corner JMC
There are no marks but likely to be French and mid 19th century
The decorative tops to the spools have a grooved rim and rows of spots
A small 80 page book titled 'The Loss of the Royal George'
The bowl is made of turned stickware and the handle brass wire and painted wood
