The garnet, set over foil, is bright and juicy as it catches the light and it's bordered by rings of applied ropework. It likely began life in the 1870s as a stick pin, having been converted to a ring not long after. The head is crafted in 18 carat gold, and the split shouldered band in 9 carat.
