Jacques Carillon, Puligny Montrachet

Jacques Carillon, Puligny Montrachet(from 11 different parcels scattered about Puligny with an overall average vine age of approximately 38 years). A wonderfully fresh and cool array is comprised by notes of apple, pear and acacia blossom along with a touch of reduction that isnt really enough to reduce the overall expressiveness. There is excellent volume to the attractively textured and relatively full bodied flavors that possess good punch and a subtle minerality on the bitter

flavorful vintage port and a very good tawny called Nimrod

I thought long and hard about this

Good stuff and this too will require all of a decade in the cellar to strut all its stuff

brooding nose hints at licorice and minerals

Clearly a stupendous effort but just far too young at this stage

This is a super-classic Barolo from Brovia

I was blown away by the multiple layers of silky

This is clearly built for extended aging and I would recommend not touching a bottle for at least a decade
