Rare natural piece Blue John Fluorite crystal 34g SN55748A rare natural piece of Blue John Fluorite crystal. This piece sits upright as shown in the photographs. Blue John is a form of Fluorite found under only one hill known as Treak Cliff just outside the town of Castelton in Derbyshire, England. It is mined on a small scale from only two locations, Blue John Cavern and Treak Cliff Cavern. It is found in veins which likely formed in the limestone of the Peak District in the Carboniferous and Early Permian
