Topaz

TopazA classic Topaz specimen from the famous Thomas Range in Utah. Aside from Red Beryl, this is arguably the most sought after and recognizable mineral from the area. This thumbnail sized piece features an excellent, GEM quality, sharp, highly lustrous, very well formed, sherry colored Topaz with minor attached Rhyolite at the base. Ahlfeld worked the San Jose mine and Itos mine (the other significant Andorite locality at the same mountain in Oruro) when the mines were used predominantly as a major source of tin to the United States during WWII

so it's not a complete crystal either
