3x12.5 Antique Caucasian Rug Runner:: Covered field of geometric arabesques wrapped by floral cross section and partial Herati main border. An unusual design motif in a somewhat early example. Colors and shades include: Raspberry red, dusty teal, sky blue, sapphire blue, ruby red grapefruit, saffron yellow, and more. Condition notes: Large areas of foundation showing through with wear across to knot heads. Most of the original side cord selvages are intact or restored. Fully secured

The wefting has a colorful rag rug-like array of color variation whereby varying coloration of textile materials have been integrated in for a dynamic appearance on the reverse side of the rug which better illustrates the full construction
