The wine is quite dark and represents the style of warm and dry vintage quite faithfully

The wine comes from the 15 ha La Veguilla vineyard at 575m elevation in the San Vicente region

There is excellent volume and concentration to the broad-shouldered and overtly muscular flavors that brim with both dry extract and minerality

This is a very fine Gevrey villages and absolutely worth a look

plenty of tertiary black fruit with a liberal sprinkling of cracked black pepper on the slightly raw finish

Here too the menthol character isn’t subtle though neither is it especially invasive on the layered aromas of blue and red pinot fruit
