It has light (where things grow in abundance) and shade (where lichen and undergrowth rule)

patience will be required

mineral- and floral driven finish that shows outstanding definition and vibrant lift

but then this is a legendary wine

Once again my projected range offers the benefit of the doubt that the dryness will eventually round out with some time in bottle

though my top mark in a recent tasting went to this Chardonnay and Pinot blend for its savoury mushroom aromas and fresh but bready palate

It will not improve further

Here the expressive and more elegant nose is compositionally similar to that of the Vergers but with even more citrus character

A brooding and much less expressive nose grudgingly reveals notes of both red and dark berries
