2017 Mount Mary Pinot Noir 750mlMount Marys original pinot noir vines, a mix of many clones, were sourced from Western Victoria in 1971 material acquired prior to the consideration of individual clonal selections. These have been supplemented by newer plantings (including MV6, 777 and 115 clones) on American rootstocks. Simple winemaking techniques, to reflect the character of vineyard site, are followed by barrel ageing in new oak barriques (25%) for 16 months. Mount Mary Pinot

The resultant wine has texture and complexity
the wine is fermented in stainless steel tanks and then aged for 8 months in oak barrels
It’s about creating a wine with many layers of flavour in a complex composition of intense fruit characters
Aged for 6 years on yeast and a further 8 months in bottle
entirely de-stemmed and vinified in concrete tanks

She tragically passed away in March 2015
