George VI Silver Hors d'Oeuvres Service for Eight. Sheffield 1939 Reid & Sons Ltd.George VI cased set of silver and mother of pearl hors d'oeuvres knives and forks for eight persons. In its original wooden fitted case which was retailed by Reid & Sons of Newcastle on Tyne. Condition is excellent with minor surface wear. Minor scuffs to the case exterior. Each piece is hallmarked for Sheffield 1939 by Reid & Sons Ltd. Approximate total cased weight is 1. 546 kilos. Approximate case dimensions are 29 cm length, 24 cm width and 7 cm
This box was probably sent home as the original gilt finish is still very much intact
