It is an early brass example. The black celluloid handle with brass twisted grip wire is in excellent condition. The brass fittings on the pommel and guard have toned to a nice dark bronze color, that complements the black of the handle. This has a lightly embellished P guard that gives this an ornate look. It has a properly tied gold bullion knot which has wear but I am questioning its originality

The two prongs are intact

You can see all the details that have been added to the flags with crowns and wreaths along with the center motif of the handsome Prussian eagle and the scroll in Latin "For Glory for the Country"

The brass has a very nice tone and very good details to the front plate
