However, the stock intercooler's performance is largely dependent on the efficiency of the front mounted coolant heat exchanger. This heat exchanger absorbs heat from the intercooler coolant and dissipates it to the ambient air. If the heat exchanger becomes heat saturated, it will greatly impact the efficiency of the intercooler, and affect engine performance.
