There wasn't a hint of wind on the ground and the leaves remained totally still throughout the exposure amazingly
just as the sun broke through I drove around a bend and this scene was in the distance
I then drove my car up and down the road so the dirt caught the sunlight and provided this image with a mystical quality that while subtle was very important to this final image
I decided to change my plans and found a little dirt road I hadn't been down in ages and this incredible scene lay before me
I was shooting sunrise on a hill overlooking Wilpena Pound one morning
