SOLD………..9 carat gold propelling pencil in working order. c 1870An engraved 9 carat gold mechanical pencil with a bloodstone seal terminal. The propelling pin works as it should and there is no damage. The seal end covers a single space lead compartment. c 1870 NB. There are no hall marks but it has been acid tested to 9 carat gold. In excellent condition. 10 cm long closed 14 cm long extended stock no. JG44

The silver carries the French petit guarantee marks of Parisian silver

An unusual tooled green leather box containing a set of engraved and gilt steel writing tools- pen

The cornelian matrix is engraved 'St John's Heb

The clip is pierced and the four chains are made up of oval facetted steel links

The piece is decoratively cut and facetted

It is probably taken from a classical story which I don't recognise but depicts a lady

A good quality pierced and engraved silver gilt belt buckle

There is no damage but the mosaic is no longer close fitting

The shell is a pale brown in some areas where the red colouring to the back of the shell has deteriorated ( see photos ) and there are some age related flaws in the shell but no fillers

A marbled glass resembling polished gemstones in a wide range of colours first made by the Bohemian glass artist Friedrich Egermann in 1829 and was copied by other Bohemian and French manufacturers
