It is just starting to show the first signs of aromatic development yet retains gorgeous depth and fine balance. The 2014 captures all the linear energy of the year. It is a terrific wine for an estate that had just made a major push toward improving farming and winemaking at the time.

it has crisp acidity and a medium level of velvety tannins

A mentholated top note is present on the pretty aromas of rose petal

This is a bigger and richer effort but overall this is only slightly better than the Trézin

It shows fabulous density

the underlying material is quite good so this tightly wound effort could very well develop enough depth to be at the next level

Although he characterized 2004 as more precocious than 2005
