Edinburgh circa 1780 - 1810. 8.4 troy ounces.Georgian, George III, set of four crested Scottish silver pedestal salts of navette form with reeded borders. Each is raised upon an oval pedestal foot. Each salt has a faded crest for the Stuart family of Bute. A heraldry report accompanies this item. Condition is very good with moderate to high surface wear. Some pitting to the interiors, presumably from salt staining, as the interiors are not gilded. Each is hallmarked with the thistle for
