SOLD………..Prince Albert memorial pin cushion. 1861A patinated brass pin cushion disc with embossed sides commemorating the life and death of Prince Albert. One side has his face in profile with the words 'Prince Albert Consort of Queen Victoria' The other side 'Born Aug 26th 1819 Married Feb 10th 1840 Died Dec 14th 1861' with a wreath and crown. The whole piece is metal with the pins fitting in two rows of holes. 5 cm in diameter 2 inches Stock no. KF30

A most unusual antique letter seal with a turned wooden handle and decorative gilt mount

It is marked with the petit guarantee silver mark of a boar's head

8 cm long ( 3 inches )

5 cm in diameter ( 1 inch )

c 1800-1820The original silk ribbon was shredded so has been replaced with pink silk ribbon which has been ink stamped in inches

It measures 7

c 1930The cedar pencil is stamped JS Staedtler and has a brass screw thread mount

The main part is a reel of bone which would have been returned to a shop to be filled when the thread was all gone

and on the reverse-

A pair of silver handled scissors and blade sheath

They are smaller that is usual so possibly for a child

It was hall marked at the Birmingham assay office in 1930
