and it was the great producers that excelled that year

the Gran Selezione is a fabulous

but more should develop with a few years of keeping

a little reminiscent of 2001 in this winery

both of which showed signs of past seepage

The middle weight flavors are not especially dense but do possess a highly attractive mouthfeel while displaying good power on the bitter cherry pit-inflected finish

This is a perfumed wine that offers defined aromas of wild cherry that rise to the top with intensity

There is real size and weight to the very solidly concentrated large-scaled flavors that are supported by ripe tannins that are also unusually fine-grained in the context of the appellation

That linear flinty note is just terrific

the 2012 Pichon Lalande is a wine of pure and total seduction
