G&S 0551 — Red Stoneware ClayBody 0551 is Goerg & Schneider's rich red stoneware a warm, iron rich clay that fires to a consistent light to dark terracotta red across the full firing range. Unlike most red clays that turn brown or grey at higher temperatures, 0551 holds its warm red tone all the way to 1220C.
