A carved goblet made from a coconut shell. Antique 19th century.A small goblet made from a coconut shell. It has a stem and circular base under the round cup and is worked on every surface. No damage. 8cm high ( 3. 25 inches ) 5 cm in diameter at the base ( 2 inches ) Stock no. HE41

It is made of gutta-percha and has a geometric design on the base
It would have hung on an Edwardian gentleman's watch chain
The print was published in 1828 by Jones & Co which was copied from an original drawing by Thomas Hosmer Shepherd who recorded 19th century London and was well known for his architectural paintings
The 45 gaming pieces are carved from mutton bone into various shapes including a bird and a trumpet plus a few are painted
The frame is 7 cm in diameter ( 3 inches )
is embossed with a cherub and foliage
The lid lifts off and is now a loose fit
An antique cut steel chatelaine with four chains ending in six engraved steel appendages
A good quality pierced and engraved silver gilt belt buckle
The interior has general wear to the edges of the green silk
