Louis Jadot, Echezeaux(from Les Rouges du Bas that is worked by horse because it is so steep; occasionally other Echzeaux is added from purchases but in 2018 this is a domaine wine). An exuberantly spicy nose is composed almost exclusively of various very ripe dark berries and exotic tea scents. The finer middle weight flavors arent as powerful though I like the vibrancy on the dusty, raspy and slightly short finish. Because the underlying tannins seem phenolically mature,

all wrapped in a lingering finish that presently displays a hint of an edge that may or may not ever round off

It is another superb Barolo from Giacomo Conterno

Sumptuous and yet also structured

Eventually it reveals scents of dried honey

it should still evolve for just as long

flowers and spices saturate every corner of the palate as this mind-blowing Costa Russi struts its stuff

crushed herb and minerals that introduce much more structured and intense medium full flavors of obvious class and grace
