The 2000 Barolo Bric del Fiasc (magnum) explodes onto the palate with layers of raspberry jam

plum and wet stone hints complements well the rich

allowing for more shade on the bunches

Here the nose is reduced though the underlying fruit seems both ripe and fresh

Still no ideas here at Zilliken

This is such a gorgeous wine

since 1992 though the first commercial release was not until 1997

well-balanced and lingering finish where the wood telegraphed by the nose resurfaces

this is a textured and lush Schlossberg with lingering salinity

This is also quite aromatically restrained with its combination of dark cherry

tension and drive

but the firm acid spine should permit it to mature gracefully
