Antique Georgian Almandine Garnet brooch, 9ct goldA gorgeous antique, late Georgian era flat cut garnet brooch. Oval shaped and set with a ring of lovely almandine garnet cabochons. The garnets are housed in a closed back setting, unmarked 9ct gold with a rich old gold tone. It has a C type clasp with a base metal pin. English make, c1810s, unmarked, tests as 9ct. Condition: Fair used condition, one garnet has been replaced in the setting for a smaller garnet, there are two or three garnets with

a very pretty piece
