The stone, understandably, has a very shallow and narrow "cushion" cut, but you take what you can get with this material. I've only seen a handful of faceted Brookites over the years, and they were all black opaque, so the fact that this stone has COLOR (when backlit), is significant. it must be noted that the color of these crystals really stands out under fluorescent lighting and in sunlight as opposed to incandescent lighting

The crystals are quite gemmy

but perhaps the most intriguing part is that it features a bright glowing blue color that is not often associated with Afghanite
