Mild reduction presently pushes the underlying fruit to the background. Otherwise there is good punch and detail to the sleek and relatively refined middle weight flavors that offer slightly better depth and persistence. (88 90) 2020+

though as usual

pungent herbs

dried plums and mulberries with salami and fertile earth undertones

It will provide plenty of pleasure over the next 5-7 years

Medium-full bodied with its secondary nuances of wet earth

This moderately firm effort is somewhat awkward at present

this is not to say that it is an elegant wine though it is less youthfully austere than I typically find with this wine

As is typically the case with this wine

There is impressive richness and mid-palate concentration to the extract-rich and caressing middle weight flavors that coat the palate before terminating in an intense and attractively dry finish where a hint of bitter lemon appears
