Simpson Strong-Tie 6 In. x 6 In. 18 ga Galvanized Post Cap & Half BaseThe BC series offers dual purpose post cap base for light cap or base connections. Do not install bolts into pilot holes. Install with 16d common nails or 16d x 2 1 2" joist hanger nails. Post bases do not provide adequate resistance to prevent members from rotating about the base and are not recommended for non top supported installations (such as fences or unbraced carports). 18 gauge galvanized steel. Some sizes available with ZMAX coating.
