Creedite

CreeditePurple is one of the rarest colors in the gem world (if you eliminate Amethyst). There are few purple gems out there, and Creedite is certainly one of the most elusive, especially in this color. In the early 1990s, a small amount of this uncommon halide species was discovered at the Akchatau Mine in Kazakhstan, and even though few specimens were found, they were some of the finest color examples of the species outside of Santa Eulalia, Mexico.
