SOLD… Two pairs of Italian cut steel scissors. c 1900Two pairs of cut and chiseled steel scissors stamped Terzano Italy. The handles are beautifully pierced and engraved with a fruiting vine and they are in a painted hessian scissor case.. c 1900 In excellent condition no damage but with some pitting by the rivets on the blades ( see photos ) 12. 5 cm long ( 5 inches ) 10 cm long ( 4 inches ) Stock no. KA43
It is cleverly carved to retain the purple colour at the top using the white part of the shell as the background

Lace making was a cottage industry using domestic animal bone and local soft woods
The base has a handwritten inscription- Miss Jane Body

Condition- Some of the silver trim is missing and there is some dust behind the glass but it is undamaged
