SOLD.......A Georgian silver stock buckle. c 1800. Maker ML.A Georgian silver buckle with three studs to attach to the stock cravat. The back has both the silver assay mark (lion) and duty mark (monarch's head) plus the maker's mark in italics ML which research shows it to be a London silversmith called Thomas Wallis II despite his initials being different. c1780 1810 *. 5 x 3cm In excellent condition no damage or repair. *assay marls occasionally refer to the sponsor rather than the actual maker. In very good condition but it has lost its ribbon ties

The hanging loop is red and white cord

In excellent condition- no damage but it is slightly out of the round at the rim

There are no maker's marks but it dates to circa 1920

The original tape had disintegrated so has been replaced by a dyed silk ribbon with the numbers printed on rather than hand written

Inside the cloth for the needles has a few moth holes but is in reasonable condition

There is an applied pattern at the rim with a sun burst design above
