SOLD……..A pair of French candy / chocolate boxes. 19thcA pair of French chocolate boxes made from decorated card with prints under glass on the lids. They are trimmed with faded gold and silver applied paper. One print shows two children, one drinking from a bucket held by a lady at a well and titled in French 'Le Petit Egoiste' and the other box has an artist painting a lady and child titled 'Le Peintre Espagnole' There are some losses to the trim on one box and both have some wrinkles in the prints

There are some fleabites on the edges - the most obvious being on the corner of the base (see last photo)
The base diameter is 2 cm including the end stop
The hinged lid is engraved silver with a gold wash finish
