Vintage VPI Virginia Tech ROTC Caped Cadet Overcoat GS00160This overcoat was worn by a student who attended the Virginia Polytechnic Institute (VPI) Military Academy. Known now as Virginia Tech. Overall condition is good with the exception of some moth damage here and there which is pictured. There are no rips or tares. The front top cape is missing its buttons. The remaining buttons are intact, but held into the coat by paperclips (don't know why exactly as we obtained this coat recently as is). There is no

This panel is free from cracks and breaks

Measurements: 30" wide by 80" tall and 1 3/4" thick

drop height: 38"

Measurements are: 28 3/4 " wide 16 1/2" deep and 63 1/4" tall

Traditional in style

The knobs are smaller than the average size at 1 3/4" in diameter

At the very top is a crown of curled brass embellishments that hold the strands of prisms

Much of it was hand forged with lead round accents

Both have two screws at the back to secure

it is still legible and clear

The panel is made of iron and features intricate details that showcase its original design
