The pattern includes flowers and shells-a strange mix but typical of the period

The portrait of Charlotte is very similar to a miniature by Henry Bone which was taken from a painting by William Beechey too although I haven't found an image of the original painting
The emery is all original
The maker was Henry Griffith and the Chester hallmark dates it to 1892
