Large Montana Agate Art Slab

Large Montana Agate Art SlabThis is a very large and thick slab of a the famous Montana Agate with a large banded area and some host rock at the bottom, it even has the trademark dendrite they are known for. It was a broken piece that I have shaped and smoothed and polished on the front with rounded edges. The back I ground down so light would easily pass through giving it the unique view when backlit. this piece would fit into a large slab or photo stand to display as a feature

This area was part of the now famous Fossil Lake during the Eocene period and is from the split fish layers located in the mid depth part of the lake that have more of a very dark brown/red color and pronounced definition including the well preserved teeth this species is known for as an apex predator of its time

This is a stunning trancas crystal geode from Mexico that I cracked open to reveal amazing stalactites in each half along with druzy crystals

This item is fully polished and is a whopping 30 oz and is 4” x 6” and well over 1” thick

These are hard to acquire and if you do a internet search you will see that they are indeed rare to find for sale

This specimen is approximately 3-3/4” long on a nice natural non trimmed piece of lake bottom silt stone that is 9”x5”

This is a Utah septarian nodule with deep cavity that is full of beautiful calcite crystals

This sphere is 3-1/2” and is fully polished it does have some cracks in the material but it is in no danger of coming apart unless it is dropped like any other stone sphere and It comes with a stand

This one has a solid core of dark agate with a stripe of green opal/agate across it and also vertically giving this one a one of a kind look

This is a fully polished heel specimen piece so the back side is natural and it is much thicker than a usual slab
