Georgian "Faithful In Adversity" Seal FobAn early 19th century Georgian seal fob with ornately detailed body and a carnelian intaglio set into the base. The intaglio depicts a broken classical column with ivy growing up it; the motto FAITHFUL IN ADVERSITY wraps around the border. The Georgian Regency era, officially 1811 1820, arguably saw the pinnacle of letter writing.
